“You don't subscribe to Time Magazine because you want in-depth coverage about any particular subject. You get it because it provides a broad look at today's current affairs. And that includes politics, business, society, science, Hollywood, as well as other miscellaneous subject. The layout is great, and I almost always find a golden nugget of information in each issue. It has been a staple in our home for years.”

“Why do I subscribe to this magazine? It is the jack-of-all-trades. It is not too liberal nor too conservative. The analysis is not as deep as "The Economist", nor as entertaining as "People", nor as educational as "Scientific American" or "Wired", nor as well written as "The Atlantic". In many ways, it is a little of each of those and why I like it. Good news coverage, current, good coverage of entertainment and technology. If you could only have one news magazine but wanted some street-smarts, get this mag. If you want more in-depth news coverage, get The Economist.”

”I wish the right wing would please stop slamming every publication that is NOT explicitly slanted to the right as being "biased" and "liberal". Is the absence of a bias evidence of a leftist bias? Because TIME is exactly that; it's so centrist, so bland, that it cannot possibly be slanted either way. The stories are a bit sensationalist sometimes, like most major media these days they tend to jump on the news bandwagon and hammer it home until you can't take any more. But aside from that, the writing is clear and accessible, the content is diverse and occasionally unique, and the diagrams are well executed.”
